Louise Lareau is the managing librarian of The New York Public Library Children’s Center at 42nd Street. Marjorie Priceman is the author and illustrator of many children’s books, including two Caldecott Honor books and a two-time winner of the New York Times Best Illustrated Books Award. Guarnaccia is an associate professor of illustration at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City and the author and illustrator of numerous books. Sitting on this year’s panel of judges were Steven Guarnaccia, Marjorie Priceman, and Louise Lareau. The children’s books editor for The New York Times Book Review is Maria Russo.
